Safe Working at Height (N214)

Course Overview

Attendees will be trained / tested on both the theoretical and practical aspects of safely and effectively working at height. This will cover the relevant risks, the hierarchy of control methods to be assessed planning and undertaking working at height activities, and PPE required. Trainees will learn Health and Safety legislation around PPE, plant & equipment (PUWER & LOLER), the workplace (HASAWA) and (WaH), and general guidance that is required to be followed.

Successful attendees will receive either of the below.

• NPORS/CSCS Construction Plant Operator Card, valid for two years.
• Traditional Operators card, valid for three to five years depending on sector-specific or in-company requirements

Course Duration

Novice: ½  a Day – Max 10 Trainees

Refresher: ½  a Day – Max 10 Trainees

Experienced Worker Test: N/A

Training location

Training can be held at our fully equipped training centre in Manchester or at customer location. For training / testing to be complete at a customer location the below must be available.

• A big enough classroom to cater for trainees with a power supply (and a suitable sized screen area for training / refresher course delivery).
• Plant / Equipment to be used for training / testing made available for the duration.
• Adequate welfare facilities made available on site.
• External area where training / testing will need to be risk assessed and deemed as acceptable prior to training / testing taking place.
