Excavator as Crane (N100)

Course Overview

Attendees will be trained / tested on both the theoretical and practical aspects of safely and efficiently using an excavator for lifting operations, including components and functions of the plant they are being trained / tested on. This will cover manufacturer guidelines, Health and Safety legislation around PPE, plant & equipment (PUWER & LOLER) , the workplace (HASAWA), and general guidance that is required to be followed.

Successful attendees will receive either of the below.

• NPORS/CSCS Construction Plant Operator Card, valid for two years.
• Traditional Operators card, valid for three to five years depending on sector-specific or in-company requirements

Course Duration

Novice: 2 Days – Max 4 Trainees

Refresher: 1 Day – Max 4 Tests

Experienced Worker Test: 1 Day – Max 6 Tests

Training location

Training can be held at our fully equipped training centre in Manchester or at customer location. For training / testing to be complete at a customer location the below must be available.

• A big enough classroom to cater for trainees with a power supply (and a suitable sized screen area for training / refresher course delivery).
• Plant / Equipment to be used for training / testing made available for the duration.
• Adequate welfare facilities made available on site.
• External area where training / testing will need to be risk assessed and deemed as acceptable prior to training / testing taking place.
